Neighbourhood House Local Government Clusters
Southern Regional Network comprises 10 Local Government Areas. These form 8 Cluster groups that meet regularly to work together, share program and project ideas and support their combined communities. Most LGA’s provide support and funding to Neighbourhood Houses & Learning Centres. They have staff that are responsible for liaising with and providing communication to each area. In the Southern Region there are 10 Local Government Areas and they follow different models of funding and buildings provision.
Bayside
Four Neighbourhood Houses & Learning Centres are situated in the Bayside cluster including Cheltenham, Hampton, Highett and Sandringham.
Cardinia
Eight Houses and Learning Centres are located in the South Eastern growth corridor from Lang Lang and Bunyip through to include Pakenham, Beaconsfield, Emerald and Upper Beaconsfield in the foothills of the Dandenong Ranges.
Casey
Fourteen Neighbourhood Houses & Learning Centres situated in the suburbs of Casey including Cranbourne, Berwick, Blind Bight, Doveton, Endeavour Hills, Hallam, Hampton Park, Lynbrook, Narre Warren, Clyde North.
Frankston
There are seven Neighbourhood Houses in the Frankston City Council area in the suburbs of Seaford, Carrum Downs, Frankston, Frankston North and Langwarrin.
Gateway to the South
Eight Neighbourhood Houses & Learning Centres situated in Melbourne's Inner suburbs including Port Melbourne, Elwood-St Kilda, Prahran, East Malvern, Bentleigh and East Bentleigh.
This Cluster covers Stonnington, Port Melbourne & Glen Eira City Councils
Greater Dandenong
The Greater Dandenong Cluster group includes seven Houses and Learning Centres from the south east of Melbourne. They are situated in the suburbs of Dandenong, Keysborough, Noble Park and Springvale.
Kingston
Ten Neighbourhood Houses & Learning Centres are situated south of Melbourne from the coast including Chelsea, Chelsea Heights and Mordialloc through to Dingley, Cheltenham, Clarinda and Westall.
Mornington Peninsula
The Mornington Peninsula Cluster includes thirteen Houses and Learning Centres situated in the southern region. Suburbs represented include Mount Eliza, Mount Martha, Mornington, Hastings, Somerville, Rye, Dromana and Sorrento
